Tisno is a small town with an outsized reputation — straddling a narrow channel between the Dalmatian mainland and the island of Murter, connected by a drawbridge that opens for passing boats. Tisno is located approximately midway between Zadar and Šibenik, making it well served by two airports. Zadar Airport (ZAD) is approximately 55 km to the north, a journey of around 45 to 55 minutes by private transfer. Split Airport (SPU) is approximately 80 km to the south-east, with a travel time of around 60 to 75 minutes depending on traffic.
Your Go Shuttle driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign, assists with your luggage, and takes you directly to your accommodation in Tisno or on Murter island. Flight monitoring is standard — delays are handled automatically at no extra cost.
During festival periods, advance booking is essential. Tisno becomes significantly busier when the Garden and associated festivals are running, and private transfer availability fills up fast. Book as early as possible to secure your vehicle.
At Go Shuttle, we operate a fleet of well-maintained, modern vehicles across two main categories:
Standard sedan — ideal for individuals, couples, or small groups travelling with up to 3 passengers and 3 standard suitcases. Clean, air-conditioned, and well suited for the airport-to-Tisno run.
Minivan / MPV — suited for larger groups of up to 7–8 passengers, with generous luggage capacity. The ideal choice for groups of festival-goers or families with plenty of bags.
All vehicles are non-smoking, regularly serviced, and meet Croatian transport safety standards. Child seats and booster seats are available on request.
The booking process takes under two minutes:
You can also book via WhatsApp or phone. During festival season, book as early as possible — availability is limited.
The Garden Festival and associated boutique events attract visitors staying in accommodation across the wider Šibenik-Knin and Zadar counties. Many festival-goers stay in Šibenik, Vodice, Primošten, or even Zadar and need reliable transfers to and from the festival site in Tisno. Go Shuttle can coordinate transfers for individuals and groups at any hour during festival periods.
Tisno sits on the bridge between the mainland and Murter island, giving easy access to the island's beaches, coves, and the town of Murter itself — the gateway to Kornati National Park boat trips. A local taxi service is the most flexible way to explore the island without hiring a car.
Both Šibenik (30 km south) and Zadar (55 km north) are excellent day trip destinations from Tisno. Go Shuttle can arrange point-to-point transfers to either city and back at a fixed, pre-agreed price.
Tisno is one of those Dalmatian towns that rewards visitors who look beyond the obvious. On the surface it is a quiet, pretty coastal settlement — stone houses, a small harbour, a pleasant waterfront, good fish restaurants, and the unusual spectacle of the drawbridge that swings open for yachts and sailing boats several times a day. Beneath that surface, it has quietly become one of the most important destinations on the European festival circuit.
The Garden Festival, founded in 2006, was the pioneer of what became a cluster of boutique music events held on the Tisno waterfront each summer — Suncebeat, Soundwave, Stop Making Sense, Defected Croatia, and others — all set against the backdrop of the sea, the channel, and the Dalmatian hills. The combination of exceptional natural setting and intimate event atmosphere is unlike anything else in Croatia.
Outside festival season, Tisno and Murter island offer beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, excellent seafood, and the unforgettable experience of boat trips into the Kornati archipelago. It is a place that works perfectly as a pure holiday destination and happens to transform into something extraordinary when the music starts.
